Job summary

Stanford University’s Land, Buildings & Real Estate (LBRE) seeks a Tree Specialist II to maintain and care for campus trees. You will diagnose diseases, prune and remove trees, supervise teams, and perform spray treatments while following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with about three years in Arboriculture or related work.
• Tree Worker Certification is preferred.
• Valid California Non-commercial Class C Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose tree diseases and pests, and advise on care.
• Prune or remove trees to maintain health and appearance.
• Oversee or perform spray treatments for diseased or pest-infested trees.
• Guide and supervise teams to ensure safety and quality.
• Replace trees as needed and monitor for early problems.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE.
