Job summary

Timber Works Tree Care is hiring full-time groundsmen in Front Royal, VA. You’ll work alongside our climbers on residential and commercial tree removals, pruning, and storm cleanup, keeping the job site safe, organized, and moving.

No experience is required; we train the right people. Starting pay is $18 per hour with full benefits including health insurance, a Health Savings Account, life insurance, uniforms, PPE, and on-the-job training with room to grow into climber and crew-leader roles.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance required.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly and do physical work all day.
• Team player who communicates well and follows directions.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Chainsaw or tree-care experience is a plus, but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Drag brush and feed the chipper safely.
• Cut, split, and load logs and wood debris.
• Run ropes and lowering lines to support climbers.
• Set up and maintain job-site safety zones, cones, and signage.
• Rake, blow, and clean up so every property is left better than we found it.
• Load, unload, and maintain trucks, chippers, saws, and equipment.
• Treat customers and their property with courtesy and respect.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.

Working conditions
