Job summary

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Tree Removal Technical Team Manager to lead Tree Removal Technicians and volunteers in hazardous removal at disaster sites, with training duties and regulatory compliance responsibilities. The role is based in North Wilkesboro, NC, with extensive travel to disaster sites.

The candidate will manage TRT duties, schedules, and training, ensuring equipment remains ready for rapid response, and will stay informed on DOT rules to maintain lawful operations.

Qualifications

7+ years related experience and/or training working with hazardous tree removal.
Possess and maintain Class A CDL.
General computer skills required.
Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct Tree Removal Technicians and volunteers in hazardous removal at disaster sites.
Train TRTs and volunteers in safe removal procedures and compliance with regulations.
Coordinate scheduling and day-to-day management of the team.
Maintain equipment in response-ready mode and uphold safety standards.
Travel to field sites for deployments and develop safety best practices.
Stay current with Federal and State DOT rules to ensure lawful compliance.
Conduct regular team and program-manager meetings and provide performance feedback.

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Tree Removal Technical Team Manager to manage, direct, and work with Tree Removal Technicians (TRTs) and volunteers in hazardous tree removal at disaster sites. You will conduct training with Tree Removal Technicians and volunteers in the proper and safe procedures of hazardous tree removal, as well as ensure compliance with Federal, State, and DOT regulations. This role is based in North Wilkesboro, NC, but requires travel and extended stays at disaster sites. Join this team and share in spreading the gospel!

In the role of Tree Removal Technical Team Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
Manage Tree Removal Technicians (TRT) duties, training, and scheduling of work assignments to ensure proper and safe tree removal. Provide day-to-day management, coordination and direction of the TRTs.
Ensure that Tree Removal equipment is maintained in response-ready mode. Encourage a standard of excellence in Christian witness and team building pertaining to all work.
Travel to field sites to support the training of TRTs and SLT on techniques and procedures of advanced tree felling. Develop best practices for safety for staff and volunteers during deployments.
Stay abreast of current Federal and State DOT rules and regulations to maintain lawful compliance of Samaritan's Purse commercial equipment.
Conduct regular subordinate team meetings and bi-monthly meetings, including Program Managers and Assistant Program Managers. Evaluate performance and provide feedback during the year, as well as annual performance reviews.
