Job summary

Valley Tree Care LLC is seeking a Lead Tree Installer to manage the selection, handling, and professional installation of trees and landscape plants using modern arboricultural standards for long-term health and performance.

You will lead a crew, ensure quality installation, and coordinate with clients on planting and irrigation setup. Applicants should have arboriculture/landscaping experience, a valid driver’s license, and good physical stamina. Compensation is hourly with benefits.

Qualifications

Experience in arboriculture, tree installation, or landscaping.
Valid driver’s license.
Familiarity with ANSI A300 standards.
Strong physical capability for lifting and digging.
Ability to lead a crew and maintain efficiency.
Working knowledge of basic irrigation systems (PVC, poly, drip).

Responsibilities

Select high-quality nursery stock based on health, structure, and aesthetics.
Monitor plant health from procurement through installation.
Install trees using best practices (root pruning, depth/root flare, soil amendments, mulching).
Connect trees to irrigation systems and install drip irrigation to proper depth.
Safely transport and protect large trees during delivery.
Educate clients on watering, irrigation setup, and tree establishment.

Compensation : $23-$27 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

Lead the selection, handling, and professional installation of trees and landscape plants using modern arboricultural standards to ensure long-term health and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Select high-quality nursery stock based on health, structure, and aesthetics
Monitor plant health from procurement through installation
Install trees using best practices (root pruning, correct depth/root flare, soil amendments, mulching)
Connect trees to existing irrigation systems, and install deep watering stakes with driplines to deliver water to proper depth in the soil
Safely transport and protect large trees during delivery
Educate clients on watering, irrigation setup, and tree establishment

Requirements:

Strong physical capability (lifting, digging in hard soils, handling large trees)
Working knowledge of tree installation and basic irrigation systems (PVC, poly, drip)
Ability to lead a crew and maintain job efficiency
Valid driver’s license
Experience in arboriculture, tree installation, or landscaping
Familiarity with ANSI A300 standards
