Job summary

KC Tree Works LLC is seeking a dependable Tree Groundsman to join our team. The role supports climbers and arborists, handling ground operations, equipment, and safety on-site.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, operate chainsaws and other equipment when qualified, and assist with loading, unloading, and site cleanup while upholding our safety standards. Qualifications

• Previous experience as a groundsman for a professional tree service.
• Knowledge of chainsaw operation and brush handling.
• Experience with wood chippers, rigging equipment, and commercial vehicles.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and reliability.
• Ability to lift heavy items and work with the crew.
• Punctual, independent yet team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist climbers with trimming, pruning, and removal.
• Safely operate tree care equipment.
• Feed brush and limbs into chippers following safety procedures.
• Manage ropes, rigging, and lowering under crew leader.
• Keep site clean, organized, and safe.
• Inspect equipment and perform daily maintenance.
• Load and unload equipment and materials.
• Follow safety policies and crew leader instructions.
• Communicate with crew to complete jobs safely and efficiently.
• Represent KC Tree Works LLC professionally with customers.
