Job summary

Sarver Tree Care in the Pittsburgh area is seeking a Tree Groundsman to support daily operations and contribute to safe, efficient tree care projects. You will prune, plant, install support systems, and perform removals with proper PPE and adherence to safety standards.

Expect early dispatch at 7:30 a.m. and a competitive hourly pay range as you gain experience in a hands-on outdoor role within a growing arboriculture team.

Qualifications

• Must report for dispatch before 7:30 a.m.
• Experience in arboriculture or tree care preferred.
• Ability to follow OSHA, ANSI Z133 safety standards and ISA BMPs.
• Reliable attendance and flexible to weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Support the Tree Crew Leader in daily operations.
• Perform tree pruning, planting, and install support systems and risk mitigation.
• Conduct tree removals, stump grinding, and site restoration.
• Safely operate equipment including saws, chippers, and lifts.
• Wear PPE and contribute to Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Assist other divisions as needed to support company goals.

Schedule: Full-time, must report for dispatch before 7:30 a.m.

Daily Dispatch From: 340 Graham Rd, Wexford, PA 15090

Pay Range: $24.00 – $30.00/hour

Reports To: Tree Crew Lead

What You’ll Do

• Support the Tree Crew Leader in daily operations.
• Perform tree pruning, planting, and installation of supplemental support systems and risk mitigation systems, including lightning protection.
• Conduct tree removals, stump grinding, and site restoration.
• Safely operate industry-specific equipment, including chainsaws, pole saws, winch chippers, mini-skid steers, stump grinders, aerial lifts, and more.
• Wear the company-provided uniform and all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Actively contribute each day to the completion of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and support a safe work environment.
• Support other divisions as needed to contribute to the overall success of the company.
