Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services, LLC is seeking a Tree Cutting Laborer for seasonal work in Wichita, KS. You will safely climb trees, prune and remove limbs, and operate equipment in various weather conditions. This role requires strong ethics, reliability, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with tree pruning and removals preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR).
• Ability to travel extensively, including trips lasting 5–6 consecutive weeks.
• Able to work safely at heights and perform physically demanding outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Safely climb trees using ropes, saddles, and other climbing equipment.
• Perform tree pruning, trimming, cabling, and removals according to industry standards.
• Operate chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, stump grinders, and other tree care equipment.
• Assist with rigging operations and the controlled lowering of tree limbs and sections.
• Perform ground crew duties including brush cleanup, chipping, and debris removal as needed.
• Conduct daily inspections of climbing gear, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with crew members to ensure safe and efficient job completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, vehicles, and equipment.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.

Job Description

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a highly motivated Tree Cutting Laborer with a great attitude and strong ethics. This position is responsible for performing the day-to-day job functions that support all field operations.

Seasonal Employment: This position is seasonal, with work availability dependent on weather conditions, project needs, and workload. Start and end dates may vary based on operational demands.
