Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a Tree Cutting Laborer to support field operations across projects. The role is seasonal and outdoor, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include climbing trees, pruning, removals, operating saws, rigging, and working with the crew to complete tasks on time. Travel may be extensive and weeks-long.

Education: HS diploma; age 21+, valid driver's license; weather conditions. Competitive benefits and PTO offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR) required.
• Ability to travel extensively, including trips lasting 5–6 consecutive weeks at a time.
• Experience with tree pruning and removals preferred.
• Prior tree climbing experience a plus but not required.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely climb trees using ropes, saddles, and other climbing equipment.
• Perform tree pruning, trimming, cabling, and removals according to industry standards.
• Operate chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, stump grinders, and other tree care equipment.
• Assist with rigging operations and the controlled lowering of tree limbs and sections.
• Perform ground crew duties including brush cleanup, chipping, and debris removal as needed.
• Conduct daily inspections of climbing gear, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with crew members to ensure safe and efficient job completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, vehicles, and equipment.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.

• Ability to work safely at heights and perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
