Anne Arundel County Government is seeking a Full Time, Permanent Tree Crew Worker in the Department of Public Works. The role covers trimming and removing trees, maintenance tasks and operating in elevated buckets, requiring climbing and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Education sufficient to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• One year of experience in climbing and trimming of trees.
• Valid commercial Class B motor vehicle operator's license as determined by assignment.

Responsibilities

• Checks and maintains tools and equipment; diagnoses problems and determines correct procedures.
• Participates in special tree work and in general maintenance of roads and drains; oversees and performs cutting, pruning, and trimming of trees.
• Removes limbs and trees; removes and disposes of brush, foliage, stumps, and trees.
• Performs tree work from elevated bucket; climbs trees using spikes, ropes, safety belts, and ladders; observes safety precautions in all operations.
• Performs related work as required.
