Job summary

Cutter's Edge in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking experienced Tree Climbers to join our Arbor team. You will perform pruning, removals, cabling, bracing, and other arboricultural tasks using climbing techniques, aerial lifts, ropes, and rigging equipment.

Essential duties include climbing, rigging, and operating chainsaws safely, while maintaining high safety standards and team collaboration in varying weather conditions. ISA credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in tree care with emphasis on climbing required; bucket truck operation also considered.
• Proficient in modern tree care: tree ID, climbing (with/without spikes), rigging, pruning and felling.
• Ability to safely operate chainsaws and other tree care equipment.
• Valid driver’s license preferred with clean record; pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• ISA Arborist credential preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using approved techniques, ropes, saddles and related equipment.
• Prune and remove trees per industry standards and company specs.
• Operate chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, stump grinders and other equipment safely.
• Set up rigging systems for controlled lowering of limbs and sections.
• Assist with cabling, bracing, tree preservation and plant health care.
• Conduct pre-job inspections and identify hazards.
• Follow safety policies, OSHA regulations and ANSI standards.
• Communicate effectively with crew to ensure safe, efficient completion.
• Maintain equipment and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Assist with site cleanup and debris removal.
• Represent the company professionally with clients and the public.

Our Climbers are responsible for safely performing tree pruning, removals, cabling, bracing, and other arboricultural services using climbing techniques, aerial lifts, ropes, and rigging equipment. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship while working at varying heights and in diverse weather conditions.

• Ability to safely operate chainsaws and other tree care equipment.
• Valid driver's license, preferred, with clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• ISA Certified Arborist credential preferred or willingness to obtain.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb and work at heights of 50+ feet.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and maintain balance while working aloft.
