Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of native and introduced tree species.
• Knowledge of compartmentalization and tree wounding/pruning concepts is required.
• Valid Driver’s License required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tree climbing and general tree work services.
• Assist crew leader in specialized pruning and take-downs.
• Safely operate equipment and participate in safety briefings.
• Perform ground duties including job setup and cleanup.

Skills

Knowledge of pruning techniques

Ability to climb utilizing rope and saddle

Knowledge of rigging techniques and knots

Ability to safely operate chainsaws

Experience with bucket truck operation

Education

Two/four year degree in Arboriculture

2+ years industry experience
