Job summary

Arbor Masters is seeking a Tree Climber to join our team in Des Moines, IA. The role involves operating bucket and claw trucks, chainsaws, and rigging gear; performing pruning, removals, and safety checks; and communicating with homeowners about services.

Expect active field work, outdoors in varied weather, and opportunities for growth within the family-owned, safety-conscious company. You will need rope and saddle climbing experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift over 50

Qualifications

• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Minimum 2-3 year rope and saddle climbing experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; class C required; CDL A/B preferred.
• Ability to work at heights above 10 feet and lift over 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and various trucks and saws.
• Repair, sharpen, and maintain equipment and tools.
• Perform basic tree felling, rigging, and aerial rigging over obstacles.
• Ensure tools and equipment are loaded, fueled, and maintained.
• Conduct job briefings and assist in site setup with safety PPE.
• Communicate with homeowners about services and conduct post-job walkthroughs.
• Assist in debris cleanup after completion.
