Job summary

Arbor Masters is hiring a Tree Climber in Oklahoma City to operate bucket and claw trucks, perform pruning and removal, and ensure job sites are set up and safe. You’ll assess tree risk, communicate with homeowners, and assist crew in high-quality, safe daytime work.

The role demands 2–3 years climbing experience, valid license, ability to work over 10 feet, and teamwork. CDL is preferred but not required; outdoor work in varying weather is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years rope and saddle climbing experience with knots knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of tree pruning and removal techniques.
• Able to work at heights above 10 feet and in outdoor conditions.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience operating bucket or claw trucks preferred.
• Cabling and bracing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and hand tools such as bucket and claw trucks, chippers, and saws.
• Repair, sharpen, and maintain equipment and tools.
• Perform basic felling, rigging, and aerial rigging over obstacles.
• Load, maintain, and check tools and materials for jobs.
• Conduct job briefings and assist in work zone set-up with safety PPE.
• Complete tree risk assessments and site walk-throughs with homeowners.
• Communicate with crew members and assist in debris cleanup after jobs.
