Job summary

Arbor Masters is hiring a Tree Climber to operate bucket and claw trucks, perform climbing and rigging tasks, and support safe, efficient tree care at customer sites.

You will work outdoors, climb with ropes and saddles, and communicate with crew on safety and job progress. The role emphasizes physical stamina, adherence to safety, and customer interaction within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and possess a class C license.
• CDL class A or B with airbrake endorsement preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of 2–3 year rope and saddle climbing experience.
• Knowledge of knots used in roping and technical rigging.
• Ability to work at heights above 10 feet.
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and tree care gear (bucket/claw trucks, saws, chippers).
• Perform basic felling, rigging, and aerial work over obstacles.
• Ensure tools and equipment are loaded, maintained, and fueled.
• Assist in job site setup and safety PPE use.
• Conduct job briefings and communicate with Crew Leader.
• Perform site and tree risk assessments; discuss services with homeowners.
• Support debris cleanup after job completion.
