Job summary

Senske Services in Yakima, WA, is seeking an Arborist to perform all aspects of tree care, including pruning for safety, clearance, and visibility. You will use ropes, harnesses, rigging systems, and chainsaws to maintain trees and respond to emergencies around the clock.

This role invites experienced climbers (DdRT or SRT) with aerial lift experience to join a hands-on outdoor team. Expect training, safety focus, and opportunities to advance within a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 1+ year climbing experience in tree care (DdRT or SRT).
• Experience with buckets, rigging, pruning for health, removal, shearing, chainsaw maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment background screening and drug test (THC excluded).
• 21+ years old or older (requirement to drive a company vehicle).
• Commitment to safety and the use of all proper PPE for the job.
• ISA Arborist Certification preferred but not required.
• Encourage a positive team atmosphere & willingness to help others.

As an Arborist, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of tree care, including pruning for safety, clearance, and visibility. This position involves assisting with the removal of hazardous trees, bucking, brush chipping, and using technical rigging techniques for limbs, as well as ground and aerial methods, and associated equipment. Tree Climbers are experienced in using ropes and harnesses, as well as spur and flip line climbing techniques, aerial man lifts, chainsaws, and rigging systems. They are responsible for responding to tree emergency activities resulting from weather events 24 hours a day, year-round, and may lead, guide, and train staff performing related work. Tree Climbers display strong communication skills when providing customers with information while working with them onsite. Our customers feel comfortable and informed when you meet with them.

Wage Range

$24.00 - $29.00 per hour. The starting wage is determined based on relevant experience. This is an hourly, non‑exempt position.

Must Haves

• At least 1 year of climbing (DdRT or SRT) bucket operation experience in the tree care industry
• Experience: climbing, rigging, pruning for health, removal, shearing, chainsaw maintenance, climbing gear maintenance, CDL for driving bucket truck, man‑lift experience, and experience pruning from a man‑lift bucket
• Possess a valid driver's license and have a history of safe driving
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment background screening and drug test (THC excluded)
• At least 21 years old or older (requirement to drive a company vehicle)
• Committed to safety and the use of all the proper PPE the job requires
• ISA Arborist Certification is preferred but not required
