Duties

• Climb trees using appropriate safety equipment, rigging and climbing techniques to perform pruning, trimming, or removal operations.
• Utilize arborist rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or entire trees during removal or pruning projects.
• Conduct tree removal, trimming, and pruning with precision to promote healthy growth and safety.
• Apply knowledge of tree care practices, including disease management and growth promotion.
• Use chainsaws and other hand tools following strict safety protocols to ensure efficient work processes.
• Assist with land clearing, landscape maintenance, and lawn care as needed.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols while working at heights or around heavy equipment.
• Maintain equipment such as bucket trucks, rigging gear, and hand tools in good condition.
• Document work performed and communicate it effectively with team members regarding project status.

Experience

• Prior outdoor work experience in arboriculture, landscaping, or horticulture preferred.
• Knowledge of GIS mapping or land surveying is a plus for site planning purposes.
• Experience operating bucket trucks or aerial lifts is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with arborist rigging techniques, tree removal methods, and plant pruning care is essential.
• Proficiency with chainsaws, limb loaders, or other tree care equipment is required.
• Understanding of safety protocol adherence when working at heights or with heavy machinery.
• Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology enhances the ability to assess tree health effectively.
• Background in landscape maintenance or lawn care is beneficial for supporting comprehensive site management.
