Job summary

Joshua Tree Experts in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Tree Care Crew Lead/Foreman to manage the Tree Crew for residential and commercial properties. You will lead safety-focused operations, inspect equipment, and ensure client satisfaction while coordinating pruning, removals, and growth management.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in tree care, strong climbing ability, and solid knowledge of species and diseases. CDL-B preferred, ISA Arborist not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tree care, including pruning, trimming, and removals.
• Ability to climb and navigate trees safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of tree species, diseases, and care techniques.
• Proficient in operating and maintaining tree care equipment (chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders).
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making on the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients and supervisors.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (CDL-B preferred).
• ISA Certified Arborist not required.

• Operate Spyder lifts, bucket lifts, loaders, and various saws safely to prune, remove, or manage growth of trees and shrubs
• Monitor and maintain assigned equipment
• Communicate with clients while completing services to ensure satisfaction
• Conduct all aspects of arboriculture related to tree risk assessment, pruning, removing, and cabling and bracing
• Learn, understand, and implement company safety rules and regulations

• Valid Drivers License and clean driving record (CDL-B is preferred)
