Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking a Tree Care Climber to assist the Foreman by leading the crew, climbing and trimming trees, and operating equipment like chainsaws and chippers. You will help other crew members and continually learn new skills to grow into a higher paying career.

The role involves pruning/removing trees, using handheld tools, and following crew workflows to deliver excellent client service. Training and development are provided in a supportive environment.

Competenze

• Able to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.
• Comfortable climbing to heights up to 60 ft.
• Knowledgeable about climbing harnesses, tree gaffs, chippers and chainsaws.
• Follows OSHA, ANSI Z133 and ANSI A300 standards.

Mansioni

• Pruning and removing trees and shrubs.
• Using small tools such as shovels, rakes, chainsaws, and other equipment.
• Cleaning, organizing and following crew tasks to serve clients.

Job SummaryThe Tree Care Climber is responsible for assisting the Foreman by helping lead the crew, climbing and trimming trees, operating equipment such as chainsaws and chippers and helping other crew members with tasks and continually learning new things. The position is active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently reach for, pull, lift, and/or move items weighing up to and over 50 lbs. The employee must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
