Job summary

Whitaker Construction Company, Inc. in Utah is seeking a seasoned Treatment Plant Project Manager to lead complex wastewater and water treatment facility projects from planning through turnover.

You will coordinate engineers, regulators, subcontractors, and clients to deliver on time and within scope while ensuring safety and environmental compliance. The role requires strong scheduling, budgeting, and risk management, plus the ability to read P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, and control system

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum 5 years of direct PM experience in treatment plant construction.
• Experience reading P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, electrical schematics, and control system specs.
• Proven ability to manage complex schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, EPA/state permits, and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of treatment plant projects including budget, schedule, and regulatory compliance.
• Develops and manages complex project schedules with sequencing and inspections.
• Interprets engineering documents (P&IDs, hydraulics, electricals, control systems) and ensures accuracy.
• Coordinates with owners, designers, and subcontractors to resolve conflicts and maintain flow of work.
• Oversees procurement, subcontractor management, testing, commissioning, and turnover to client.
