Cantex Senior Communities is seeking a Treatment Nurse (RN/LVN) to participate in and oversee wound care for residents under physician orders. The role may involve direct care or supervising CNAs to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.

Qualified candidates graduated from an accredited nursing program with an active state license, and at least one year of long-term care experience is preferred. English fluency and strong documentation skills are required.

Responsabilidades

• Observe, assess, treat, and document residents' wounds per care plans and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist in providing or supervising wound care to ensure optimal healing.
• Confer with Director of Nurses/Attending Physician on wounds/condition changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain safety and quality standards, including reporting incidents as required.

We are committed to a culture that respects our differences and values the contributions of all people.Please visit cantexcc.com for more information on this location.Job Summary:The primary purpose of the Treatment Nurse (RN/LVN) position is to participate in and oversee the wound care of Residents as prescribed by the attending physician, consistent with accepted standards of care and within the scope of RN/LVN training and licensure.At times, this position will be responsible to provide care directly to the Resident and/or supervise the direction of this care by a Certified Nursing Assistant to ensure that the highest practical well-being is maintained by the Resident.Qualifications:¨ Graduation from an accredited Nursing School and a current and validlicense in the applicable State.¨ Minimum of one-year experience in a long-term or health caresetting is preferred.Knowledge of current wound care treatments and dressings.¨ Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.Essential Functions:¨ Observe, assess, treat, and documents Residents wounds accordingto the Resident Care Management System Skin, Federal, State, and localregulations.¨ Ensures that preventative measures are utilized to prevent the developmentof pressure ulcers.¨ Assists in the collection and documentation of data for Quality Assuranceincluding the weekly Pressure/Non-Pressure Trending Reports.¨ Consults with Director of Nurses/Attending Physician regarding changes inResidents wounds/condition.¨ Receives transcribes and executes physicians' orders.¨ Ensures implementation of care plans to promote wound healing.¨ Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.¨ Identifies and secures equipment and supplies for wound care.¨ Ensures that each Resident's attending physician and family or responsibleparty is promptly notified of any significant change in the Resident's wound/condition and this notification is documented in the medical record.¨ May participate in assigning duties and ensures the delivery of appropriateclinical care by the CNA staff.¨ Ensures that each Resident's accident or incident is fully documented andreported in accordance with Cantex Senior Communities ClinicalPolicies and Procedures and state/federal guidelines and regulations.¨ Ability to function as a Team Leader/Role Model.¨ Ensures a safe environment for Resident population.¨ May participate in the Nurse Manager On call rotation.¨ Has reviewed Cantex Senior Communities Clinical Policies and Proceduresfor Abuse Prevention and knows the employee's responsibility to enforce it.Responsible for assuring patient/resident safetyPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor#RNLVNWe are an Equal opportunity employer; We offer an excellent benefit plan to include 401K with match, CEU reimbursement, vacation, sick, holidays, medical, dental, and supplemental insurance Plans as well as a Highly competitive compensation package.
