Job summary

Beacon Hill in Denison, TX seeks a Treatment Nurse (RN/LVN) to oversee resident wound care and supervise CNA-delivered care. You will ensure adherence to care plans, document progress, and coordinate with physicians to adjust treatment as needed.

This role requires current state licensure and at least 1 year in a long-term/healthcare setting. You will work Monday through Friday in a supportive team environment, with access to a full benefits package and ongoing professional development through

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing School and a current and valid license in the applicable State.
• Minimum of one-year experience in a long-term or health care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of current wound care treatments and dressings.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, treat, and document Residents' wounds according to the Resident Care Management System Skin, Federal, State, and local regulations.
• Ensure preventative measures are utilized to prevent pressure ulcers.
• Assist in the collection and documentation of data for Quality Assurance including weekly reports.
• Consult with Director of Nurses/Attending Physician regarding changes in Residents' wounds/condition.
• Receive, transcribe and execute physicians' orders.
• Ensure implementation of care plans to promote wound healing.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Identify and secure equipment and supplies for wound care.
• Notify physician and family of significant changes; document in medical record.
• May supervise CNA staff and ensure delivery of appropriate clinical care.
