At Pine Grove Manor, we believe nursing is a work of the heart. We are a resident-centered skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in South St. Louis, dedicated to providing high-quality long-term and short-term care in a compassionate, supportive environment.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our leadership team as a Treatment Nurse / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). This dual role offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical wound care expertise with nursing leadership and team oversight.

Position Summary

As the Treatment Nurse / ADON, you’ll oversee wound care services while supporting the Director of Nursing in managing clinical operations. You’ll supervise nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, promote staff development, and foster a culture of safety and respect. In the absence of the DON, you will assume full responsibility for the clinical department.

Key Responsibilities

Wound Care & Treatment (Clinical):

• Perform skin assessments, administer prescribed wound treatments, and track healing progress.
• Coordinate and lead weekly wound rounds; document findings and physician orders.
• Educate staff on pressure ulcer prevention and proper wound care techniques.
• Ensure proper use and availability of wound care supplies.
• Monitor compliance with infection control protocols and state/federal guidelines.
  
  
  

Leadership & Administration:

• Support daily nursing operations and clinical decision-making in collaboration with the DON.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff; evaluate performance and provide coaching.
• Participate in admissions, care planning, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Promote infection prevention, safety, and compliance with nursing best practices.
• Serve as acting DON when needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in the State of Missouri (required)
• 5+ years of nursing experience in long-term or acute care settings
• 2+ years in a nursing leadership or supervisory role (preferred)
• Strong clinical knowledge of wound care, pressure ulcer prevention, and infection control
• Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
• Commitment to quality care, resident dignity, and regulatory compliance
