Our practice, Lititz Oral Surgeryis seeking an enthusiastic and experiencedTreatment Coordinator to join our team! This is a unique and exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about Oral Surgery and committed to delivering outstanding care.
What You'll Do:The Treatment Coordinator will provide patients with information about treatment options and associated costs. Acting as a liaison between the Oral Surgeons and patients, they will gather patient details, coordinate treatment plans with the Oral Surgeon, and present these plans to patients. The Treatment Coordinator is well-versed in treatment procedures and timelines and will also assist in negotiating financial arrangements with patients.The successful candidate will be able to:Treatment Consultation with the Oral Surgeon/s:- Attend comprehensive exams to assess patient treatment needs; when necessary, also be present during re-care exams to gain insight into ongoing treatment requirements
- Accurately enter treatment plans with the appropriate coding into the electronic medical record (EMR-WinOMS)
Present Treatment Plans to Patients:- Verify dental benefit eligibility, limitations, and provide payment estimates to assist in financial planning
- Escort patients to the consultation room, explaining their insurance coverage, including what’s covered and out-of-pocket costs
- Educate patients on their dental benefits, as needed
- Present case fees and available financial options, addressing any questions related to the procedure
- Ensure patients fully understand their treatment plan and resolve any concerns to encourage their commitment to proceeding with the treatment
- Create alerts in WinOMS for Patient Care Coordinators detailing how treatment calculations were determined
- Document any approved discounts in WinOMS to ensure the Billing Department is aware of the discounted components of the treatment plan and the reasons behind them
- Prepare the formal financial agreement, have the patient sign it, and scan into their file
Ongoing Organization & Maintenance of Treatment Planning:- Organize and conduct a weekly meeting with the Oral Surgeon/s to review any outstanding cases requiring follow-up on treatment plans
- Maintain and update a recall list, following up with patients who haven’t scheduled an appointment within 3 weeks; ensure that anyone who cancels is added to the recall list
- Prepare and manage an unscheduled treatment report, sending letters to patients who have treatment plans, but haven’t scheduled in the past 3 months
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring:- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working in a specialty dental office environment required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Keen understanding of scheduling and financial systems
- Proficiency in dental software and computer literacy
