Job summary

Phaxis is hiring an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator in Raleigh, NC (Main Location) with occasional Garner, NC duties (~2x/week). The role is Monday-Friday, day shift, full-time, and focuses on welcoming patients, presenting treatment options, explaining plans, and coordinating financing and scheduling within a family-oriented practice.

The ideal candidate will have orthodontic or dental experience, strong math/financial skills, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a busy

• Experience presenting treatment plans and financing options to patients.
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance, financing and payment arrangements.
• Excellent math and financial skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new patients and families and create an excellent first impression.
• Partner with the orthodontist to present individualized treatment recommendations.
• Explain treatment plans, timelines and benefits of care.
• Present treatment fees, insurance benefits and patient financial responsibility.
• Develop customized payment and financing options.
• Use consultative sales skills to guide patients toward treatment.
• Answer questions regarding treatment, insurance, costs, and financing.
• Follow up with prospective patients who have not yet scheduled treatment.
• Schedule treatment starts and coordinate with the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate patient and financial documentation.
• Assist with front-office responsibilities as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Welcome new patients and families and create an exceptional first impression


• Partner with the orthodontist to present individualized treatment recommendations


• Explain treatment plans, timelines, outcomes, and benefits of orthodontic care


• Present treatment fees, insurance benefits, and patient financial responsibility


• Develop customized payment and financing options


• Use consultative sales skills to help patients confidently move forward with treatment


• Answer questions regarding treatment, insurance, costs, and financing


• Follow up with prospective patients who have not yet scheduled treatment


• Schedule treatment starts and coordinate with the clinical team

Ideal Background:

• Previous experience as an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator, Dental Treatment Coordinator, Financial Coordinator, or similar dental role


• Orthodontic experience strongly preferred


• Experience presenting treatment plans and helping patients move forward with care


• Strong knowledge of dental insurance, financing and payment arrangements


• Excellent math and financial skills


• Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service abilities


• Highly organized and comfortable multitasking in a busy practice


• Dental/orthodontic practice management software experience is a plus
