Job summary

Burlington United Methodist Family Services in West Virginia is seeking a Residential Treatment Associate to support youth in a residential setting. You will act as a positive role model, build relationships, and help youths achieve treatment goals, reunification, independence, and success.

The role requires hands-on care, crisis response, documentation, collaboration with therapists, schools, and families, and participation in trainings.

Qualifications

• Active, hands-on role requiring crisis response and physical stamina.
• Candidates should demonstrate empathy, strong communication, and teamwork.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced residential setting with youth.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for youth.
• Build meaningful relationships and understand each youth's treatment plan and goals.
• Support daily routines, including hygiene, structure, and life skills.
• Respond to emotional needs with guidance and encouragement.
• Manage crisis situations safely using trained intervention techniques.
• Administer medications per protocols.
• Document progress, incidents, and daily activities accurately.
• Coordinate with therapists, supervisors, schools, and families.
• Facilitate recreational, educational, and spiritual enrichment activities.
