Job summary

Stella Jones Corporation in Jasper, TX is seeking a plant operator to perform operational work related to daily work instructions, inspection, grading, treatment and materials, and to operate the treating plant safely and proficiently.

Responsibilities include controlling major systems (boiler, pressure vessels, waste processing), performing duties of inspector and machine operator, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance, and supporting continuous production; accommodations may be provided.

Qualifications

• Education:High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: One year treating experience preferred, must have experience working with chemicals
• License/Certification: Pesticide applicators license preferred; Boiler Operating License preferred, PIE Certified

Responsibilities

• Operate and control systems by prescribed operating procedures, including, but not limited to the following major systems: Boiler and pressure vessels, vacuum and condensate recovery systems, preservative mix, transfer and storage systems, hazardous and solid waste processing and storage, charge transfer tables and emergency response equipment
• Perform all duties of inspector, machine operator (2) and laborer positions as required
• Operate all aspects of treating at or above target production levels
• Performs security duties
• Participates and contributes to company safety program
• Perform other related duties as assigned
