Job summary

Valley National Bank seeks a results‑driven sales professional to advance cash management/treasury solutions across retail and commercial banking segments. You will use consultative selling to tailor product sets, analyze deposits, and drive proposals to close sales.

Responsibilities include handling implementation with operations, maintaining client satisfaction, and regularly reporting on pipeline and performance to district leaders.

• Use consultative selling techniques with clients and prospects to determine best product sets and features.
• Analyze account activity and balances to prepare proposals, present to clients, and close sales.
• Obtain required service agreements and account documentation.
• Coordinate with Cash Management/Treasury Solutions Operations on implementation.
• Maintain overall client satisfaction with Cash Management/Treasury Solutions products and services.
• Support Retail Bank in analyzing deposit relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Attend District Sales Manager meetings monthly and follow up on all sales calls.
• Collaborate with Territory, District, and Commercial Lenders to identify cash management/treasury opportunities.
• Support Commercial Bank in deposit relationship analysis for existing and prospective clients.
• Attend Commercial Bank Team monthly meetings and follow up on all sales calls.
• Manage defined Retail Bank Sales Districts and Commercial Bank Territories.
• Create monthly sales reports showing pipeline, new product sets, and lost business.

Job description

• Use Consultative Selling techniques with clients - prospects in determining what product sets and features best suit the client/prospect requirements.
• Analysis of account activity and balances for proposals, generate proposal, present to client/prospect and close sale.
• Obtain the required service agreements for requested product sets and account documentation.
• Manage the implementation process along with Cash Management/Treasury Solutions Operations.
• Manage overall client satisfaction with regards to Cash Management/Treasury Solutions product/services.
• Support the Retail Bank's efforts in analyzing deposit relationships with both existing and prospective relationships.
• Attend assigned District Sales Manager meetings on at least a monthly basis.
• Follow-up on all Sales calls.
• Work with Territory Sales Managers, District Sales Managers and Commercial Lenders in identifying cash management/treasury solutions opportunities with both existing client base and prospect client base.
• Support the Commercial Bank's efforts in analyzing deposit relationships with both existing and prospective relationship.
• Attend assigned Commercial Bank Team's monthly meetings.
• Follow-up on all Sales calls.
• Responsible for a defined number of Retail Bank Sales Districts and Commercial Bank Sales Territories, which might differ from each other.
• Create monthly sales reports reflecting pipeline of sales activities, new product sets sold, and lost business.
