The Treasury Management Sales Associate Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of Treasury Management Sales Associates who provide day-to-day support to Treasury Management Officers and the broader Commercial Payments organization. This role provides leadership and oversight of the sales support function, with a focus on building strong partnerships between TMSAs and TMOs, balancing team capacity and coverage, developing talent, driving consistent processes, and ensuring the team delivers timely, high-quality support throughout the client sales and onboarding lifecycle. They serve as a key connection point between Sales Support and Treasury Management leadership, helping identify emerging needs, resolve escalations, improve processes, and ensure resources are aligned to business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop a team of Treasury Management Sales Associates. Establish clear expectations for performance, accountability, responsiveness, and partnership. Conduct regular one-on-ones, team meetings, coaching sessions, and development discussions. Build bench strength through cross-training, knowledge sharing, and development planning. Support onboarding and training of new team members and help accelerate their readiness to support assigned portfolios. Foster a collaborative, client-focused culture that encourages ownership, communication, and continuous improvement.

Sales Partnership & Support Ensure TMSAs provide consistent, effective support to their aligned Treasury Management Officers. Promote strong TMO/TMSA partnerships, including clear expectations around roles, communication, prioritization, and workload. Partner with Treasury Management sales leaders to understand business priorities, changing support needs, and areas requiring additional focus. Help resolve service, process, or partnership issues that cannot be addressed at the individual TMSA level. Maintain appropriate visibility into complex, urgent, or high-priority requests and assist with escalation when necessary.

Capacity & Resource Management Monitor team workload, capacity, and coverage to ensure resources are effectively deployed. Make recommendations regarding TMSA/TMO alignments based on business needs, portfolio complexity, capacity, and available resources. Establish appropriate backup and interim coverage when staffing changes, absences, or business needs require additional support. Identify capacity constraints and emerging resource needs and communicate them to leadership. Balance short-term business needs with sustainable workloads and longer-term staffing strategies.

Operational Excellence Drive consistent adoption of Treasury Management Sales Support processes, procedures, tools, and controls. Establish and monitor standards for quality, timeliness, documentation, and follow-through. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort, eliminate unnecessary handoffs, and improve the TMO and TMSA experience. Partner with Product, Implementation, Pricing, Billing, Operations, and other teams to resolve issues and improve end-to-end processes. Support implementation of new processes, products, systems, and operating-model changes affecting the Sales Support organization. Use operational trends, workload information, and team feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.

Risk & Controls Ensure the team operates in accordance with established policies, procedures, approval requirements, and controls. Reinforce appropriate escalation and approval paths for exceptions and non-standard requests. Partner with appropriate risk, compliance, operational, and business-control teams when issues or process gaps are identified. Promote clear documentation, disciplined execution, and appropriate ownership across the team.

Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 5 years experience in Treasury Management, Sales Support, Client Service, Operations, or a related field. Prior people leadership experience, including direct responsibility for coaching, developing, and managing employees. Strong understanding of Treasury Management products, sales processes, and the commercial client lifecycle. Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or developing employees. Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing business needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build productive partnerships across sales, product, operations, and support organizations. Strong judgment and demonstrated ability to navigate complex or escalated situations.
