Job summary

Sunflower Bank in Irvine, CA is seeking a Treasury Management Officer III to serve commercial customers with TM products and pricing analyses. You will prepare proposals, review relationships, and collaborate on marketing and sales programs for treasury services.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in finance or related field with 10+ years in banking; a CTP is preferred and 5+ years of RFP experience is needed. Local candidates in Orange County are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, Economics or similar.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a financial institution.
• CTP designation preferred.
• Ability to self-source opportunities with a successful track record in team selling and lead sharing.
• Minimum of 5 years of RFP experience with ability to create proposals.
• Current understanding of general Treasury Management products, offerings, cash-flow cycles, and working capital.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to assess and manage risk/fraud with TM solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional level of service for internal and external customers and respond to needs in an accurate and timely manner.
• Prepare pro‑forma analyses of customer’s product sales potential and pricing proposals.
• Review and analyze current and potential commercial relationships and recommend TM products and services.
• Design marketing and sales programs for treasury management products; develop prospecting and sales materials for the sales cycle.
• Prepare contracts and documentation for TM products per company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments on Commercial Banking proposals and RFPs.
• Maintain industry knowledge of TM solutions and pricing to stay competitive.
• Leverage reporting tools to identify and convert sales opportunities.

Job description

Job Type: Full‑time

Location: Irvine, CA (Orange County). Must be local to Orange County/Irvine.

Role: Treasury Management Officer III.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional level of quality service for internal and external customers and respond to customers’ needs, questions and concerns in an accurate, effective and timely manner.
• Prepare pro‑forma analyses of customer’s product sales potential and preparation of pricing proposal.
• Review and analyze current and potential commercial relationships and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Participate in design of marketing and sales programs aimed at the commercial customers for treasury management related products; develop various prospecting and sales related materials and reporting to be used throughout the sales cycle.
• Prepare appropriate contracts, agreements and documentation relative to the Treasury Management products and services offered in accordance with Sunflower Bank, N.A. policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments and team members on the preparation and presentation of Commercial Banking proposals and requests for financial proposals (RFPs).
• Maintain industry knowledge of treasury management solutions and pricing to stay competitive.
• Leverage reporting and sales tools to proactively identify and successfully convert sales opportunities.
• Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, Economics or similar; previous experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a financial institution.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred.
• Ability to self‑source opportunities with a successful track record in team selling and lead sharing.
• Minimum of 5 years of RFP experience with ability to create proposals.
• Current understanding of general Treasury Management products, offerings, cash‑flow cycles, and working capital.
• Ability to assess and manage risk/fraud with a strong understanding of value propositions related to TM solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving, strategic thinking, time‑management and organizational skills.
• Strong ability to formulate partnerships with all levels in an organization.

Salary

$150k - $190k, dependent on knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
