Treasury Management Business Development Officer

We are seeking a dynamic Treasury Management Business Development Officer to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role is responsible for driving growth by connecting businesses with tailored banking solutions. Essential Functions:

• Responsible for sourcing and developing prospects, new clients, and selling Treasury banking services and products.
• Responsible for developing sales strategies and expanding referral sources.
• Passes off prospects to Business Banking Relationship managers to close the relationship.
• Responsible for gathering data to be used in the selling process, participating in community organizations and activities, and assisting prospective clients in completing loan and services applications.
• Incumbents do not have responsibility for maintaining on-going relationships.
• May supervise or lead lower-level BDO's
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelors in Business, Finance or a related field and 2+ yrs experience in business development, sales, loans, banking/finance products and services or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
• Working knowledge of sales techniques, business development, banking/finance products and services.
• Must have solid customer service and negotiation skills.
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Solid problem resolution and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with internal staff on relationships.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and general PC's skills.
