You will source prospects, develop sales strategies, and collaborate with Relationship Managers to close deals, while supporting clients with loan and service applications. A strong background in banking sales and a BA/BS is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field and 6+ years in business development, sales, loans, or related banking experience.
• Strong sales techniques and ability to develop growth strategies.
• Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal staff on relationships.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and general PC skills.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for sourcing and developing prospects, new clients, and selling business banking services and products.
• Responsible for developing sales strategies and expanding referral sources.
• Passes off prospects to Business Banking Relationship managers to close the relationship.
• Responsible for gathering data to be used in the selling process, participating in community organizations and activities, and assisting prospective clients in completing loan and services applications.
• Incumbents do not have responsibility for maintaining on-going relationships.
• May supervise or lead lower-level BDO's
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelors in Business, Finance or a related field and 6+ yrs experience in business development, sales, loans, banking/finance products and services or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
• Employs advanced knowledge as a generalist or specialist of sales techniques, business development, banking/finance products and services.
• Must have excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent problem resolution and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with internal staff on relationships.
• Advanced working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and general PC's skills.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $175,000 - $250,000 depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
