Qualifications

• Must be a current college student majoring in Finance or a related field to qualify.
• Demonstrate an interest in learning about the insurance industry.
• Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is preferred.
• College credit can be earned depending on your institution’s requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the preparations for the annual budgeting cycle, providing you with insight into the financial management process of the company.
• Reviewing variance reporting across the organization to ensure departments are meeting their expense targets, helping to establish the following year budget.
• Learn about different functions and aspects of the Selective and the insurance industry from a risk perspective.
• Support daily Treasury operations, including liquidity forecasting, bank account administration, and financial reporting.
• Perform financial analysis and assist with projects related to investments, capital management, banking relationships, and process improvements.
