Job summary

Citi in New York is seeking an Implementation Manager/Project Manager for the Client Program Management Office to oversee highly complex, time-sensitive client implementations in cash management and trade products.

You will manage a portfolio of 10–20 projects, ensure on-time delivery and client satisfaction, advise on project structure, coordinate all activities, and support sales in deal pitches while complying with audits and regulations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of client management, implementation/ project management experience.
• Proficiency in Japanese language is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of cash/trade products and related business processes.
• Excellent interpersonal relationships with ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
• PM certification (PMP, Prince2 or equivalent) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 10-20 client projects depending on scope and complexity, ensuring high quality and professionalism.
• Ensure timely delivery and total client satisfaction by meeting objectives within guidelines and timeframes.
• Advise the client on project structure and tailor solutions to fit requirements.
• Serve as the primary client interface, coordinating all internal and external project activities.
• Support Sales by participating in deal teams to prepare client pitches.
• Comply with audits, regulatory and compliance directives.
• Identify and implement efficiency and control improvements across the process.
• Manage projects for Japan-based Corporate and Institutional clients.

Job Overview

The Implementation Manager/ Project Manager is expected to manage highly complex and time-sensitive client implementations/ projects covering cash management and trade products.

• The Implementation Manager/ Project Manager will manage a portfolio of cluster and/or global client projects numbering from approximately 10-20 depending on scope and complexity, with highest level of quality and professionalism.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects and total client satisfaction: Implement client objectives within standard guidelines and timeframes
• Act as an advisor to the client in building the overall structure of the project and fine tune the solution to fit the client's requirements.
• Act as the primary interface to client, while coordinating all internal and external project related activities.
• Support Sales effort by participating as a part of the deal team to prepare client pitches.
• Comply with all audits, regulatory and compliance directives.
• Appropriately manage and resolve issues and escalations raised throughout the project through proper issue tracking and escalation channels.
• Continuously seek to identify opportunities for efficiency and control improvements in the process and implement such improvements whenever possible.
• The candidate is expected to manage a portfolio of projects for Japan based Corporate and Institutional clients.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of client management, implementation/ project management experience is good to have.
• Since the candidate will be interacting with the Japan based Corporate and Institutional client, proficiency of Japanese Language is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with cash/trade products and business processes.
• Excellent interpersonal relationships with ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
• Project Management certification (i.e., Project Management Professional - PMP, Prince 2 Practitioner, or equivalent) is an advantage.
