Qualifications

• Experience handling financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to respond to inquiries and maintain compliance with policies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and balance daily payments including property taxes.
• Maintain and reconcile cash drawers for accurate records.
• Balance deposits with taxes paid and bank transactions.
• Process and track county revenue per the Finance Program.
• Research property tax listings and respond to inquiries.
• Assist with county-wide fieldwork for collections as needed.
• Follow up on past-due accounts and assist with collections.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).
• Answer phone calls and respond to routine inquiries from the public.
• Assist the Treasurer and staff with administrative tasks.
• Occasional irregular hours and travel to Artesia or Carlsbad offices.
• Attend job-related meetings and training activities.
