Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Accounting/Finance professional in Las Vegas to oversee treasury-related processes, general ledger maintenance, and cash disbursements. The role involves supervising junior staff, preparing journal entries, and supporting internal and external reporting while ensuring SOX compliance and accurate financial recording.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting with at least one year of accounting/finance experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency in SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum one year of professional experience in Accounting and/or Finance
• Authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check
• General knowledge of SAP
• Computer skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Solid communication and critical thinking abilities
• Strong analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Team approach and a positive attitude
• Regular attendance is required
• May be required to lift Up to 20 lbs
• May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation

Responsibilities

• Supervise interns and/or accounting administrators
• Process weekly cash disbursements across all areas of the organization
• Prepare and manage accounting processes and records related to the treasury function
• Record and maintain assigned activity in the sub-ledger and general ledger for closing processes
• Improve, analyze, and maintain systems within the Corporate Accounting Department
• Prepare and maintain treasury account reports for the closing process
• Assist with internal reporting packages and external reporting needs
• Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures
• Respond to management reporting needs
• Research and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate across the organization to ensure proper coding and communication
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Prepare account reconciliations for monthly closing, including bank reconciliations
• Maintain records and documentation for SOX compliance
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Ensure direct reports apply customer service standards
• Model Allegiant’s customer service standards
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned
