Summary: The Trades Worker 10, Multi performs supervisory work and higher level performance of a variety of miscellaneous mechanical and building trade functions. The Trades Worker 10, Multi, under direction, performs less difficult tasks such as replacing defective electrical switches, painting structures, repairing woodwork, replaces and repairs plumbing fixtures, replaces plaster, lays brick, and/or other related minor maintenance to HCPS facilities. The Trades Worker 10, Multi is a non-OTETA (Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act) position.
Manage assigned clerical staff and subordinate professional personnel in one or more sections of the department. Take responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned teams. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the district’s policies and applicable state and federal laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Possession of a valid Class E Driver’s License and comply with HCPS Safe Driving Plan.

Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio, and percent and draws and interprets bar graphs.
