Job summary

The Resource Center, Inc. is seeking a production sewing operator to assemble straps and pouches using a commercial sewing machine and related equipment. You will handle materials, perform bar-tacking, stud/post stitching, snap-cap operations, and cut/trim as part of standard production tasks.

Ideal candidates will have a basic understanding of sewing or production machinery and the ability to follow shop rules and instructions. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of sewing or production machinery desired, but not required.
• Factory production work experience desired.
• Must be able to follow instructions and shop rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial sewing machine for bench assembly.
• Perform bar-tacking and stud/post stitching.
• Use snap-cap machine and hot knife.
• Trim and handle materials.
• Perform simple machine operations.
• Sew a variety of straps and pouches in different colors and lengths.

FUNCTION:

Sewing a variety of straps and pouches in different colors and lengths.

SPECIFIC DUTIES: Level 1

1. Use a Commercial sewing machine to perform the following:

• Basic bench assembly,
  

• bar-tacking, stud/post machine,

• snap-cap machine,
  

• hot knife,

• trimming,

• material handling,

• simple machine operation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic working knowledge of sewing or production machinery desired, but not required. Factory production work experience desired. Must be able to follow instructions and shop rules.
