Utah Transit Authority (UTA) operates trains consisting of light rail vehicles (LRVs) and provides customer-focused service with an emphasis on safety and reliability. The role involves operating LRVs, conducting pre/post-trip procedures, and communicating with control and customers throughout the shift.

New Operators may receive a $2,000 Hiring Incentive. Training begins with the next class on January 4, 2027, with a clear path of pay increases during the four-year progression up to $30.00/hr.

Qualifications

• Must complete an LRV training program and pass all required exams.
• Must pass the pre-qualification exam.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid Utah Driver’s License.

Responsabilités

• Operate Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) safely according to procedures.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Communicate with TRAX Control, customers, and supervisors; provide clear information.
