Job summary

The Fordy Group is seeking an experienced Travelling Project Manager to support complex projects across the Southeast, coordinating with field and office teams on landmark developments throughout Georgia and the Carolinas.

You will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, managing safety, schedule, and budgets while building relationships with clients and stakeholders and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor.
  • Experience delivering ground-up commercial construction projects valued at $25M+.
  • Background in healthcare, education, institutional, or sports facilities preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Georgia and the Carolinas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from award through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Lead client meetings and maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Work closely with Superintendents to ensure successful field execution.
  • Monitor project financial performance and reporting.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.

An established ENR-ranked General Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Travelling Project Manager to support the delivery of complex projects across the Southeast. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and repeat business, working on landmark projects throughout Georgia and the Carolinas.

You’ll lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, working alongside experienced field and office teams while managing all aspects of project execution.

Projects typically range from $25M to $150M and include:

  • Higher Education
  • K-12 Education
  • Sports & Stadium Developments

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from award through completion
