Job summary

Deriva Energy is seeking a Supervisor, Mobile Service Operations to lead traveling Wind Technicians across multiple wind sites. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency while coordinating workforce planning and fleet-wide priorities.

The position requires 6+ years in wind, 3+ years as a Wind Technician, and leadership experience. It is an onsite role based at Canby, MN or Tye, TX with travel across the fleet.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six+ years of wind industry experience.
• Three+ years of experience as a Wind Technician.
• Demonstrated leadership experience or proven ability to lead field teams.
• Must pass required Job Performance Measures (JPMs) for external candidates.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of traveling Wind Technicians supporting planned maintenance, corrective maintenance, major component exchanges, commissioning activities, and special projects across multiple wind sites.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Deriva Energy policies, OEM procedures, and industry best practices.
• Provide workforce planning, scheduling, and coordination to support fleet operational priorities and emergent maintenance needs.
• Support troubleshooting and repair of wind turbine equipment, substations, collection systems, transmission infrastructure, and other balance-of-plant components.
• Maintain accountability for work quality, productivity, safety performance, and overall project execution delivered by employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Coach, mentor, and develop technicians through training, performance management, and career development planning.
• Partner with Site Managers and Operations leadership to allocate resources and provide additional support during forced outages, major repairs, equipment retrofits, and fleet initiatives.
• Manage administrative responsibilities including timesheet approvals, travel coordination, performance evaluations, safety documentation, training compliance, and budget oversight.
• Ensure adherence to all environmental, regulatory, and operational compliance requirements.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and asset management teams.
• Travel to wind facilities throughout the Deriva fleet as required to support operational objectives.
