Job summary

EMD Electronics is looking to immediately hire experienced Welders to support existing projects within the US. Welders will operate a TIG Lathe and an orbital welder, assembling job orders in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with potential overtime and up to 80–90% travel. You will collaborate with other sites, attend off-site meetings, and travel for training and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of hands-on TIG Lathe or Orbital welding experience

Responsibilities

• Perform orbital GTAW tube welding, assembly, and installation of mechanical components onto sheet metal plates and inside of sheet metal frames and enclosures on equipment
• Check raw materials and quantities against a bill of materials and arrange them according to a design drawing
• Perform inspection and general tool maintenance
• Apply welding symbols and maintain proper sequence of assembly and accuracy of fit-up
• Use computer interface for reading/understanding P&ID and mechanical diagrams and drawings
• Work with supervision to adjust weld parameters to meet required weld quality
• Maintain all required certifications under applicable codes
