Job summary

EMD Electronics is seeking experienced welders to support projects across the United States. You will operate a TIG lathe and orbital welder to assemble job orders in a manufacturing setting. This role is scheduled Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with potential overtime and travel up to 80–90%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years' hands-on TIG Lathe or Orbital welding experience.
• Self-starting with good written and verbal communication; ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform orbital GTAW tube welding, assembly, and installation of mechanical components onto sheet metal plates and inside of sheet metal frames and enclosures on equipment.
• Check raw materials and quantities against a bill of materials and arrange them according to a design drawing.
• Perform inspection and general tool maintenance.
• Apply welding symbols and maintain proper sequence of assembly and accuracy of fit-up.
• Use computer interface for reading/understanding P&ID and mechanical diagrams and drawings.
• Work with supervision to adjust weld parameters to meet required weld quality.
• Maintain all required certifications under applicable codes.
