Job summary

The RISE Group Inc, an employee-owned engineering firm, seeks a Welder to perform welding, brazing and soldering on pressure vessels, piping, structural steel and industrial equipment in shop and field environments. Travel is required.

You will inspect welds, prepare surfaces, set up parts, and fabricate components using electric, gas or arc welding, with emphasis on safety and quality. High school diploma and welding experience are required; a valid driver's license is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous welding experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Able to hear and understand instructions in a shop environment and effectively communicate (verbal and written).
• Safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
• Certifications are a plus!

Responsibilities

• Receives instruction, prints and work orders for the job.
• Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning and welding and forming various metals.
• Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
• Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances using measuring tools.
• Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Develops templates and other work aids to hold and align parts.
