Job summary

Thevascularcaregroup is seeking a vascular sonographer to support diagnostic ultrasound services across Framingham and Wellesley locations. You will prepare exam rooms, perform ultrasound studies, and draft preliminary reports for physicians.

Travel between sites is required, with a focus on accuracy and patient safety. Qualified candidates have ultrasound program education, RVT/RVS preferred, and at least two years of technologist experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ultrasound program or formal training program.
• RVT or RVS preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years ultrasound technologist experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work and prosper in a team environment.
• Willing to be available for local and/or regional assignments as needed.
• Willing to learn and deliver new modalities, products and services as introduced.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
• Conduct patient clinical assessment and perform the diagnostic sonography examination ordered by supervising physician.
• Apply independent judgment and critical thinking to safely perform diagnostic sonography procedures.
• Capture appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions in examination images.
• Acquire additional ultrasound imaging to facilitate optimum diagnostic results.
• Identify and document limitations of the examination.
• Review images, synthesize results, and prepare preliminary reports for providers.
• Ensure reports are complete with billing requirements.
• Perform quality control procedures for ultrasound equipment and manage preventive maintenance.
• Assist with daily operation of the sonography facility.
• Assist in prioritizing work based on workflow fluctuations.
• Complete ad hoc projects as needed.
