Job summary

Anderson Underground is seeking Underground Laborers for a traveling position in Sauk Rapids, MN. You will work outdoors alongside operators and foremen to install underground utilities, fiber optic cables, and conduit across project sites.

Responsibilities include trenching, loading materials, assisting with traffic control, hand digging, and site restoration. CDL is preferred but not required, with travel and long hours as a norm.

Qualifications

• Previous underground utility construction or general labor experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Class A CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work extended hours.
• Ability to pass required background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trenching, excavation, potholing, backfilling, and site restoration.
• Support the installation of underground conduit, cable, and utility infrastructure.
• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
• Spot for heavy equipment operators during excavation and underground construction activities.
• Assist with traffic control, barricades, trench boxes, and shoring systems.
• Perform hand digging and work around existing underground utilities.
• Operate basic construction tools, including compactors and tampers.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
• Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures.
