Position Summary:

The Underground Laborer will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company assets and supporting construction activities. Responsibilities include following the crew leader's directions, loading and unloading equipment, setting up work sites, hand digging, and maintaining safety and OSHA standards.

Primary Position Duties:

• Operate and handle company assets safely and efficiently.
• Follow directions from the crew leader.
• Assist in loading and unloading equipment and supplies.
• Set up work sites.
• Hand dig with shovels.
• Restore worksite or disturbed areas after construction.
• Assist in traffic control.
• Perform other duties as needed.
• Follow all OSHA safety standards.

Position Requirements:

Physical demands include:

• Working primarily in the field outdoors.
• Exposure to dust, weather fluctuations, and high noise levels.

During work, the employee must:

• Use hands and fingers to handle objects and tools.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Stand, talk, and hear regularly.

Travel:

• Travel to other project sites in different states may be required, often for 28-day periods.

Education or Skills:

• Previous construction experience preferred.
• Ability to meet physical requirements.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
