Job summary

Railserve seeks dependable Track Laborers for a traveling crew based in Illinois. The role involves outdoor, physically demanding work across multiple job sites, with travel required. Starting pay is $22.50 per hour and includes comprehensive benefits.

You’ll perform track maintenance and construction tasks as part of a safety-conscious team, adhering to PPE and procedures. The position is full-time with schedule variability based on project needs, and relocation/travel may be required to

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform physically demanding labor outdoors.
• Follows safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and math-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive spikes and assist with track installation and maintenance.
• Move and set cross ties and sections of rail.
• Shovel ballast and assist with track alignment.
• Adjust and lubricate switches; tighten track bolts and hardware.
• Check track gauge and cross level.
• Carry and use track tools and equipment; follow safety procedures.
