Job summary

Lemartec Corporation seeks a Testing and Commissioning Specialist to support data center projects from design through closeout. You will coordinate startup, testing, and training to ensure systems operate per design and client expectations, collaborating with teams to ensure safe, successful commissioning of critical systems.

The role involves extensive travel across the US, with responsibilities spanning review of drawings, scheduling, and vendor training to ensure project milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
• 5+ years of experience in testing and commissioning projects.
• Experience in commissioning mechanical, electrical, and controls systems in data centers.
• Understanding of utility systems (water, fuel, steam), electrical distribution systems, PLCs, DCS platforms, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and system control narratives.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, testing protocols, project schedules, and commissioning milestones.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute the startup and commissioning plan from construction turnover through final handoff to operations.
• Follow MPC's lock-out/tag-out procedures during transition from construction to commissioning.
• Ensure startup and commissioning deliverables meet site procedures, schedules, and safety protocols.
• Review drawings and specs to confirm provisions for flushing, cleaning, testing, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA, and Operations to confirm subcontracted equipment meets specs.
• Facilitate OEM and vendor training sessions for client personnel.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors during start-up and testing.
• Lead daily start-up POD meetings and distribute minutes.
• Support system turnover by scheduling and participating in walkdowns and initial operations.
• Maintain daily logs of operational, maintenance, and safety activities.
