Job summary

Lemartec Corporation is seeking a Testing and Commissioning Specialist to drive startup, commissioning, testing, and training for data center projects from design through closeout. The role requires coordinating with engineering, QA, and operations to ensure all systems meet design intent and client expectations.

The position involves up to 100% travel across the US, supporting multiple projects nationwide and ensuring safe, compliant commissioning of critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
• 5+ years of experience in testing and commissioning projects.
• Experience in commissioning mechanical, electrical, and controls systems in mission-critical environments such as data centers.
• Understanding of utility systems (water, fuel, steam), electrical distribution systems, PLCs, DCS platforms, and rotating equipment (e.g., boilers, turbines).
• Working knowledge of safety regulations, testing protocols, project schedules, and commissioning milestones.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and system control narratives.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute the startup and commissioning plan from construction turnover through final handoff to operations.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures during transition from construction to commissioning.
• Ensure startup and commissioning deliverables meet site procedures, schedules, contract requirements, and safety protocols.
• Review drawings to confirm provisions for flushing, cleaning, testing, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA, and Operations to ensure subcontractor equipment meets project specs.
• Facilitate and support OEM and vendor training sessions for client personnel.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors during start-up, commissioning, and testing activities.
• Lead daily POD meetings; prepare and distribute minutes.
• Support system turnover with system walkdowns and initial operations.
• Maintain daily logs of tests, readings, and issues/resolutions.
• Coordinate commissioning-related subcontractor support and field labor with site management.
