Job summary

PCI Government Services is seeking a Systems Admin for a traveling role based in Norfolk, VA. The position requires 50%–75% travel to U.S. Navy Fleet CONUS and OCONUS sites to deploy software.

Responsibilities include installing, updating and maintaining systems, verifying HICS functionality, and deploying CANES-based services while adhering to Navy procedures. A Secret clearance is required; Top Secret is preferred, with 3+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Secret Level Security Clearance; Top Secret preferred.
• 3+ years of system administration experience on shipboard CANES or afloat networks.
• Navy IT/Data Systems Technician background with afloat experience is a plus.
• IAM-II Level Certification (Security+ baseline) or DoD 8570.01-M equivalent.
• Experience with software engineering activities; knowledge of computer and database management systems.
• Experience using Microsoft development tools for analysis, development, maintenance and testing.
• Ability to travel frequently and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, update, troubleshoot, monitor, optimize and maintain systems/servers and configurations.
• Install and maintain application software per established standards.
• Verify HICS functionality per SOVT.
• Test hardware/software and ensure operability; troubleshoot interfaces.
• Deploy HICS tasks/services to CANES; follow Navy procedures and approvals.
• Communicate with ship personnel and points of contact; document procedures.
• Plan, configure hardware/software and perform debugging; conduct AARs for incidents.
